Editor's note: David ended his service as a PC(USA) mission worker in September 2009.

David was appointed in January 2009 to serve as U.S. coordinator of Puentes de Cristo, one of six sites of Presbyterian Border Ministries, which is run jointly by PC(USA) and the National Presbyterian Church of Mexico.

As coordinator, David has overall responsibility for interpreting Puentes de Cristo to the PC(USA) and to facilitate the ministry of receiving mission teams.

“My excitement at being named the U.S. coordinator for Puentes de Cristo is the result of years of mission involvement as a pastor,” writes David, “and my ministry at Mission at the Eastward, serving Kingfield/Salem United Methodist Churches in Maine. I have always believed that the churches that are most alive are those involved in hands-on mission—where we are providing opportunities for people to experience Jesus Christ personally.”
