| Before joining PC(USA)’s
national staff in 2002, Dorothy worked for the Arizona Department
of Health Services. From 1997 to 2002, she was program manager
for the Office of Women’s and Children’s Health, providing
both instruction and licenses to Arizona midwives. Concurrently,
and since 1985, Dorothy was on the faculty of the University of
Phoenix, teaching nutrition, health, development, health law and
ethics, and communication.
From 1988 to 1993 Dorothy worked for the Good Samaritan Regional
Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, as a clinical nurse specialist,
responsible for overseeing the birth of 6,000 infants every year.
Dorothy has also taught at Arizona State University in Tempe,
Arizona (1974-1985) and Morris Harvey College in Charleston, West
Virginia (1970-1974).
Dorothy holds a Master of Science degree in nursing from
the University of Phoenix, a Master of Art in counseling
from the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies, and a Bachelor
of Science in nursing from Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington.
Dorothy is a member of Crescent Hill Presbyterian Church in Louisville,
Kentucky.
