| Juno Lee

Juno was appointed in January 2004 to serve with the Amity Foundation
in Shenyang, China, where he is establishing a dental lab technician
school in a vocational high school.
Many young adults in Shenyang are unable to continue higher education
due to lack of funds. Juno’s ministry is needed to provide
the training so young people can begin to earn a decent living.
Though many would like to learn the skill, there is currently
no training available in Shenyang province for dental lab technicians.
Juno has been asked to build a clinic from scratch. He will teach
students the skills needed to make quality dentures and will train
a national to become an instructor so that the vocational training
can be continued when Juno leaves.
About his vocation as a mission worker, Juno writes, “A
short while ago I joined a team of doctors on a medical missions
trip to Guatemala, where we served the native Mayans. These people
have no money. I treated 103 patients whose teeth were mostly
rotted to the roots. My heart went out to this community, and
my desire for Christian mercy and service was renewed through
this experience. I felt privileged to be given such an opportunity
to use my skills.”
