Todd and Tricia ended their term of service on May 31, 2007. Todd is preparing to enter Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia.

Todd and Tricia were appointed in January 2005 to serve with Pasos de Fe, one of seven mission projects of the Presbyterian Border Ministries.

The Presbyterian Border Ministries is a joint project of the National Presbyterian Church of Mexico and the PC(USA). Pasos de Fe is located in El Paso, Texas, and Juárez, Mexico, a city of 1.8 million people. Originally founded in 1973 as “Proyecto Verdad,” Pasos de Fe helps and supports three fully constituted congregations and four mission points in Juarez, and one mission point in Chihuahua, the state capital, a four-hour drive south of the border. In addition, nine Presbyterian churches in El Paso are involved with Pasos de Fe.

Todd and Tricia are responsible for hosting, organizing, and facilitating the visits of “mission teams” that come to help in various projects organized by Pasos de Fe, and they also help the churches meet their needs. Every year dozens of churches—Presbyterian, churches from other denominations, and other organizations—send teams to Pasos de Fe to work with and learn from Mexican Presbyterians.

According to the Reinschmidts’ testimony, their lives were forever changed during a mission trip to Pasos de Fe in July 2003. “Immediately, I was struck with awe at the faith that my Mexican brothers and sisters have,” writes Tricia. “I believe that is because, unlike most of the people in U.S. society, they don’t have very many material things to depend and rely on. They have such an awesome faith that God will provide. Throughout my week there, my prayer was that God would teach me to have faith as strong as my new friends.”

Todd taught and coached soccer in the Cartersville city schools in Cartersville, Georgia, from 1996 to 2003. Tricia taught at Cartersville Primary School from 1995 to 2001. She was employed by First Presbyterian Church of Cartersville from January 2002 to August 2003, first as a teacher in the afterschool program, then as director of the children's choir.

Todd holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. He has a masters of education from Berry College in Rome, Georgia. Tricia holds a bachelor of science degree in education, with a minor in music, from Northern Illinois University.

Todd and Tricia are members of First Presbyterian Church, Cartersville, Georgia, where they were both ordained to the office of deacon. FPC Cartersville keeps a Web page for the Reinschmidts. They are the parents of one child, Katelyn.
