The Snyders are ending their term of service in January 2006. They are willing to speak when their schedule permits. See the Mission Speakers' page for information about how to contact them.

Bob and Bobbi Snyder were appointed to mission service in January 2001 and were commissioned in absentia by the 213th General Assembly of the PC(USA) in Louisville, Kentucky, in June 2001.

The Snyders work with a number of PC(USA)’s partners in southern Africa—especially Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, and Madagascar. Their work has a dual focus on building churches and schools and nurturing leadership development. The joint project also ministers to groups of people that have not previously been exposed to Christianity.

For the Snyders, this is a return to Africa. From 1983 to 1992 they were mission workers for the Africa Inland Mission in Kenya. "We are eagerly looking forward to returning to Africa," the Snyders write. "During our previous years of service in Kenya, we grew to love the African people, and we’re excited about being ambassadors for the church in that part of the world."

Bob was in charge of pharmacy and central supply at Kijabe Medical Centre in Kijabe, Kenya. He also taught youth ministry at Moffat Bible College, training leaders for youth work in high schools. Bobbi taught home economics classes at the Rift Valley Academy and early childhood education classes at Moffat Bible College, both in Kijabe, Kenya. For her last two years in Kenya, Bobbi was head of the home economics department at Moffat Bible College.
