Carolines call to mission work came early. "I spent
eight years of my life as a missionary kid in Singapore,"
she says. "God used that experience to open my eyes to the
awesome variety of his people and his heart for sharing the gospel
with them all. I began studying Chinese in 4th grade and continued
my studies off and on throughout college. I am drawn to mission
service because I want to follow the great Commission: Therefore
go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching
them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am
with you always, to the very end of the age. I also thrive
on international settings and want to use my time overseas to
increase my faith and trust in the Lord."
Carolines assignment in China was her first "real
job," having graduated from the University of Pennsylvania
in Philadelphia in May 2001. She earned a bachelors degree
summa cum laude in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, with a concentration
in Chinese.
Caroline is a member of Hampton Presbyterian Church in Gibsonia,
Pennsylvania.
