Help for podcasts

What is a podcast?

A podcast is downloadable audio file. You can listen to podcasts on a computer that has a sound card. You may also download podcasts to an MP3 player such as an iPod.

Do I have to have an iPod? What do I need in order to listen to the podcast?

You do not need an iPod to listen to podcasts. You don’t actually need any special equipment — just a computer with a sound card and speakers. You may download the individual MP3 files and play them on your computer with your preferred audio player (such as Windows Media Player, Apple Quick Time or Apple iTunes).

If you do have an iPod or other MP3 player, you can transfer the files to it and listen to the podcast on the go. Some people also copy the files to CD.

How much does it cost?

“The Mission Yearbook” is a free podcast.

How do I know when new podcasts are available?

If you use iTunes you may subscribe to “The Mission Yearbook.” The newest episodes will be delivered as soon as they are available. If you don’t have iTunes you can download it free. You may also subscribe using Yahoo or other feed readers. Learn more.
