Time Warner meets with Presbyterians on human rights issues

At the latest committee meeting of the Mission Responsibility Through Investment members met with Time Warner representative Michelle Crozier to discuss their progress around the development of guidelines for monitoring human rights issues related to products produced for Time-Warner by vendors and factories worldwide.  During the same meeting the committee also passed a motion to remove Citigroup from the list of corporations that stemmed from the 2004 (216th) General Assembly.

MRTI also announced that Target Stores is the first retailer to announce its plans to remove Manhunt Two, an extremely violent video game, from its shelves. Members of the committee, working through Interfaith Center on Corporate Respsonsibilty (ICCR) to achieve this outcome, commended Target Stores for taking this positive step.
