National Presbyterian Church of Guatemala and its partners serve with various organizations and ministries of the church throughout the country. Placements include community based projects and agencies, formal and non-formal education, women’s programs and projects, and programs of indigenous Mayan groups. Particular emphasis is given to entering into close community with the people with whom the volunteer works. A particular focus of the program will include an exploration of the volunteer’s developing spirituality in the context of the rich heritage native to Guatemala. College degree or equivalent experience required. Program designed for young adults ages 21 and older.
