Multi-Cultural Youth Conference
July 3-6, 2008
Mo-Ranch Conference Center, Hunt, Texas
“But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors, brought them out,and said, ‘Go, stand in the temple and tell the people the whole message about this life.’ ” (Jeremiah 1:4-10)
Multi-Cultural Youth 2008 is open to youth who have completed the 6th grade through those who have just graduated from high school and their adult sponsors. Any church that would like to participate in a conference celebrating diversity is welcome.
Participation is limited to the first 150 youth and adults registered.
This conference seeks to:
- Identify the prisons around us — built by society, cultures, peers and self
- Empower the youth through the celebration of their diversity in the unity of Christ to tear down the walls of the prisons in their own world
- Charge the youth to go out and help all God’s children to escape the prisons around them
Registration cost (including room, meals and tuition) is $159 per person before May 15, 2008. For late registration add $25 per person.
Multi-Cultural Youth Conference is a partnership between Mo-Ranch, GAC Office of Multicultural Ministries and the Joint Ethnic Councils of the Synod of the Sun. Participating ethnic groups are the Agency for Indian Ministries (AIM), African American Council (AAC), Asian Coordinating Council (ACC), Hispanic American Ministry Council (HAMC) and Anglo Americans.
