Take the National Health Ministries survey

The online survey was designed by National Health Ministries (with a great deal of help from many of you) to collect important information from congregations so that we can better serve you.

Please take a few minutes and complete the survey. Once we have collected and tabulated this information, we will report back so that you will know the answers to the questions outlined above. Our report will not identify particular congregations, so you do not have to be concerned about anything that is confidential. [Take the survey]

  Why take the survey?

Do you ever wonder…

  • How many PC(USA) churches have active health ministries?
  • What kinds of programs are being done?
  • Who is leading the health ministries?
  • Where are churches getting their resources and what types of information are difficult to find?
  • Where are active parish or faith community nurses involved?
  • What kind of ministries and programs are they doing?
  • What types of preparation programs are PN/FCNs attending?
  • What about deacons, elders and Stephen ministers? Which churches use these lay leaders for care and compassion ministries?
  • How do the demographics of the individual congregations influence the care and compassion work?
  • Which churches are using congregational care teams and how are the volunteers prepared?
  • Is anyone doing “respite care?”

These are but a few of the questions that will be answered through the first comprehensive health ministry survey conducted by any denominational group.

Thank you very much for your help and don’t worry, there are NO wrong answers.

Although this survey was designed for Presbyterian churches, we know that our database contains contact information for many churches from other faith groups. If you represent another faith group and are willing to provide information to us, you will be able to identify your congregation as well.
