The staff of Creative Services won four awards in the 29th Annual Landmarks of Excellence Awards competition. Creative Services is part of the Communications and Funds Development ministry of the General Assembly Mission Council of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

The group won two awards of excellence and two awards of merit.

Awards of Excellence:

  • Presbyterian Planning Calendar won in the category of “Graphic Design – Other.” The calendar was designed by Carol Johnson and featured photographs by Erin Dunigan.
  • Diversity in Leadership Network won in the category of “Graphic Design – Communications Program” which was designed by Shellee Layman. Alyssa Hartley managed the production of the exhibit banners, buttons, cards and other collateral material used to promote the program.

Awards of Merit:

  • Presbyterians Today magazine won in the category of “Graphic Design – Periodicals.” Shellee Layman serves as art director. This is the second year in a row that Presbyterians Today has won an Award of Merit in this category.
  • Mission Funding Packet won in the category of “Graphic Design – Communications Program.” Mark Thomson designed all of the elements of this program.

The Landmarks of Excellence Awards are co-sponsored by the International Association of Business Communicators (Kentucky Chapter) and the Public Relations Society of America (Bluegrass Chapter).
