As Christian educators begin sifting through summer options for the upcoming season, consider choosing Awesome Adventures: God’s Amazing Son, new summer curriculum from the publisher of We Believe.
Packed with kid-friendly lessons, take-home comics, and activities, this broadly graded summer curriculum encourages children to explore New Testament stories of Jesus’ amazing ministry. Stories include Jesus feeding 5,000 people, the weather obeying Jesus’ commands, Jesus welcoming all people to his table, and many more.
Awesome Adventures can be used for Sunday school or midweek programs. Or select your favorite stories from the curriculum and transform VBS into a week of exciting, biblical quests that is fun for all.
The all-inclusive teacher’s book—published by Congregational Ministries Publishing—includes 13 easy-to-use lesson plans, reproducible resource sheets, and “For the Home” pages. Photocopiable, take-home comic adventures that enable kids to make a comic book of their very own are also included.
Lisa Dunson Stenner, parish associate, First Presbyterian Church, Auburn, Alabama, said, “We used Awesome Adventures last summer as a broadly graded (K–5) option. I had parents tell me their children begged to come to Sunday school. That’s AWESOME!”
