The 2014 edition of the much-loved Presbyterian Mission Yearbook for Prayer & Study is now available.

Single copy price is $16.95 plus shipping. It can be ordered through the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) online Church Store or by calling 800-524-2612.

For more than 120 years, the Mission Yearbook has taken readers on the journey of PC(USA) mission around the world. The theme for the 2014 edition is young adults and the church.

“The stories in the book, many written by young adults, offer inspiration and insight into the church’s ministry with youth and young adults,” says longtime Yearbook editor Billie Healy. “The Mission Yearbook remains a source of field-tested mission ideas that all Presbyterians can replicate in their congregations.”

It contains daily mission stories from each of the PC(USA)’s 173 presbyteries and 16 synods and mission sites around the world, along with facts and figures about each; daily lectionary readings and prayers; Sunday lectionary readings and suggested hymns; and prayer suggestions for PC(USA) staff persons, mission workers and church partners throughout the world.

The 2014 book has added several new wrinkles, Healy says. Several stories are published in languages other than English ― particularly Korean and Spanish, but a couple others, as well. It also features three 16-page color inserts, Healy says, “lifting up the amazing things God is doing through the ministries of the World Mission, Special Offerings and Young Adults offices of the Presbyterian Mission Agency of the General Assembly.

Once readers have had a chance to peruse the 2014 Mission Yearbook for Prayer & Study, Healy is eager to receive feedback on it. Send comments to her at billie.healy@pcusa.org.
