Theology, Worship and Education to provide Big Tent scholarships

60 scholarships available to seminary students, Christian educators, pastors

July 10, 2013

LOUISVILLE

Pastors, educators and seminary students can benefit from scholarships to attend the Theology, Worship and Education conference at Big Tent here Aug. 1-3.

Seminary students and Christian educators who register for the TWE conference — Thinking, Praying, and Living the Faith — will receive a $100 discount. Pastors in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee and Ohio who register for the conference will receive a $50 discount. There are 60 scholarships available to those who register on or before July 19.

Conference participants will explore and reflect on the inner relationships among our faith, our prayer and worship and our whole lives. In doing so, they will come to a fuller appreciation of how they are shaped as disciples of Jesus Christ.

The Rev. Chip Hardwick, director of TWE, hopes the conference will help participants to connect their heads (thinking the faith), hearts (praying the faith) and hands (living the faith).

“We Christians often focus on one of these to the exclusion of the others; this conference will help us to integrate all aspects of our Christian walk together,” Hardwick said.

To apply for the scholarships, participants must go online to http://www.presbyterianmission.org/ministries/big-tent/ and select the option for a scholarship through the registration page. Participants can also call 800-728-7228, x5334 to register.
