Serve on the 2010 Leadership Event Planning Team
Has the NNPCW Annual Leadership Event had a positive impact on you? Have you always wanted to serve in a NNPCW leadership role but were unable make a long-term commitment?
As NNPCW gets ready to launch the planning of Leadership Event 2010, we are looking for young women to serve on the planning team. The chosen Leadership Event Planning Team committee members will serve from November 2009 to August 2010. This is a great way to get involved with NNPCW and PC(USA) with a short-term commitment.
- Attend a face-to-face meeting in Louisville, Kentucky, over one weekend in December. (Fly in Friday night, meet all day Saturday and on Sunday morning, fly out Sunday afternoon.)
- Attend the Leadership Event (August 2010), arriving one day before the event and staying one day after the event
- Recruit other students to attend the event
- Develop the theme, structure and goals for the event
- Participate in conference calls — approximately one call per month lasting one to one-and-a-half hours each
- Engage in approximately five to 10 hours of work in between conference calls
- Bring enthusiasm, ideas, energy and excitement to the planning process
- Use the consensus model of decision-making (to be explained at our face-to-face meeting)
- Serve in a leadership capacity at the event — noticing and reporting any problems to staff, making sure every participant feels part of the event.
- Support the mission, commitments and objectives of NNPCW
- Commit to individual and community spiritual formation
