- Miriam was the sister of Moses who played a major role in
the liberation of the Hebrews from Egypt. She was also a dancer.

- Deborah was a judge and prophetess in early Israel who was
also a military leader and brought the Israelites to victory
over the Canaanite army. She was also a musician.

- The Book of Esther
- Esther was crowned queen after her predecessor was deposed.
She saved her people from genocide by using her "feminine
wiles."

- Women who were empowered by the Holy Spirit to teach, preach,
and witness to the good news. A good possibility for discussion

in the world.

Several Options
- Do another "Celebrate the Gifts of Women" time
with a focus on the women in the life of Jesus
- Conduct a further in-depth examination of one of the women
you have studied
- Engage in a spiritual discipline, such as a prayer walk
or lectio divina (see spiritual formation handout)
using Psalm 63, 52, or 23

Week Ten: |

Share a meal together
- Perhaps invite a "Wise Woman Mentor" who has been
important to you throughout the semester/year/your life. Share
what you have been doing with the Wise Woman and have her
share her faith journey with you.
