How can I support volunteers across the country?

 
         
 

The National Volunteers Office is supported by basic mission support dollars (unrestricted funds given to the General Assembly Mission Budget), restricted dollars (funds raised through, special offerings like the Pentecost Offering), and supplementary dollars (funds raised through appeals like Extra Commitment Opportunities [ECO]).

 
     
 

To further support the work of Mission Volunteers in the United States, you may make contributions to the National Volunteers Office through the ECO program.

If you or your church are interested in donating to any of the mission causes listed below, please fill out the Pledge Commitment form found in the ECO catalog and send it to:

Where to send your gift

Sessions: Send gifts through your usual receiving site. Your church treasurer will know the procedure. Please include the project number and project name on your check. In the event of an error in crediting, please contact your receiving agency as soon as possible.

Mission Trips USA

Mission trips and work camps provide an invaluable opportunity for youth and adults to directly experience the mission of the church and to connect with other Christians around the country. Funds will be used to provide training to mission trip leaders, as well as to develop resources to assist congregations as they plan their own mission trip experiences.

Mission Volunteers USA

Mission Volunteers USA can serve from a few days to two years at sites around the United States. Mission Volunteers USA may serve at presbyteries, conference centers, community centers, retirement communities, child/adolescent care centers, campus ministries and other sites where presbyteries are involved in ministry. Funds will be used to directly support Mission Volunteers USA through a travel subsidy and/or reimbursement of outstanding student loans.

Summer Service Mission Volunteers

Summer Service Volunteers serve during the summer months at many sites around the United States. Many Summer Service Volunteers provide leadership at camps, conference centers or Vacation Bible Schools. Funds will be used to directly support Summer Service Volunteers through a stipend for living expenses.

Volunteers in Shared Ministry

From Kansas City to Khartoum, PC(USA) mission volunteers eagerly seize the opportunity to be disciples of Jesus Christ for a few weeks or a few years. Volunteer duties vary depending on the locale and ability but range from working with youth in Cincinnati to ministering to street children in Seattle or Buenos Aires to providing ministry of presence in a rural village in Kenya or southeast Alaska.
