Position description: The intern works
in the office of Multicultural Ministries.
The purpose of this position is to provide a 12 months experience
at various levels of the church including regional and national
multicultural networks and constituencies. It also provides
expertise in multicultural church development and redevelopment,
evangelism in multicultural settings, diversity/cultural competency
and community building training.
Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Essential position tasks and responsibilities:
Working closely with the Associate for multicultural ministries,
the primary responsibilities are to:
- assist with the development, design
and maintenance of office Web site, media resources, newsletter
and other administrative and communication tasks,
- provide staff support and resources to
the Presbyterian Multicultural Network, Emerging Cross Cultural
Families Network, regional and national multicultural conferences’
design teams, and Multicultural Church Institutes,
- assist in the development of projects
or new initiative related to multicultural young adult and
youth and provide input to the office of multicultural ministries
about communication styles and ministry approaches meaningful
to young adult,
- and assist in other duties as assigned
by the associate of multicultural ministries office.
