  Gifts that make a difference

How can I help?

When you want to remember a person, place, project or program important in your life of faith, you want that remembrance to exist in an enduring and effective way. By adding a gift to the Permanent Endowment Fund for Older Adult Ministries, which has been established through the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Foundation, you can celebrate your own life, the life of a spouse or member of your family, or another person you want to honor on a special occasion. There is no minimum amount required for gifts to the Older Adult Ministries Endowment Fund. Income from this Fund will make it possible for the much needed Older Adult Ministries program of the Presbyterian Church to continue into the future. [Read more]

What kinds of things will my gift support?

The opportunities are almost endless. Here are some of the projects that can be funded by your gift to the Older Adult Ministries Permanent Endowment Fund.

Presbyterian Foundation

The Presbyterian Foundation receives and administers gifts from individuals, as well as manages funds for Presbyterian churches and organizations. All gifts are invested and proceeds distributed solely and specifically according to the instructions of the donors.

Extra Commitment Opportunities (ECOs)

There is a channel through which gifts can be designated for specific items that support Older Adult Ministries in the Presbyterian Church. These are called Extra Commitment Opportunities. You can give directly to any of the following ECO accounts online or by sending your check designating the name and account number of the particular item you have chosen, and mailing it to:

Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
Individual Remittance Processing
P.O. Box 643700
Pittsburgh, PA  15264-3700

Your gift will go directly into the ECO Account designated, and you will receive a letter indicating that your gift has been received and will be used for the purpose intended.

Presbyterian Older Adult Ministries Network (POAMN)

This church-wide network includes pastors, Christian educators, and many others who work with older adults within congregations and retirement communities.  POAMN provides opportunities to network with colleagues who are serving in this particular ministry through national and regional trainings and conferences.  The network partners with presbyteries to recruit representatives who promote the advancement of older adult ministries within our congregations.  A gift to this Extra Commitment Opportunity will make it possible for the network to continue into the future.

Association for Retired Ministers, their Spouses or Survivors (ARMSS)

This association nurtures and advocates for its retired members in recognition and celebration of their contributions to the church.  ARMSS assists those able and willing to find meaningful service and connection to the church during retirement; promotes the use of retired clergy as Parish Associates; and supports presbyteries and synods in their ministry with and for retired clergy, spouses, and survivors.  A gift to this Extra Commitment Opportunity will make it possible for the association to continue its support of those “called for life."
