Presbyterian Association for Collegiate and Higher Education Ministries (PACHEM)
(PACHEM was formed out of the 2004 PC(USA) Higher Education Ministry Summit. It was conceived by the Collegiate Ministries office of the PC(USA) in response to "Renewing the Committment," General Assembly Overture 98-63, as an advocacy group. PACHEM has a formal Covenant with thePC(USA).

The mission of PACHEM is to connect and empower those who support, advocate, and participate in collegiate and higher education ministries. To do this the Association works to meet these Mission Priorities:

  1. To develop and enable relationships within higher education ministry communities and with related ministry components of the church.
  2. To discover and disseminate resources, model designs and collections of best practices.
  3. To advocate and interpret the mission of collegiate and higher education ministry to the church to encourage prayer, participation, and support.
  4. To facilitate and provide opportunities for the development of those called to leadership in collegiate and higher education ministries.
  5. To enrich the church by recognizing students in higher education as a definitive entity and to provide specific opportunities for their empowerment.
