| LOUISVILLE —
College students involved in Presbyterian Church (USA)-related
campus ministries can win prizes for themselves and their ministries
in a new contest sponsored by the Higher
Education Program Area of the National Ministries Division.
In 50 words or less, entrants are to tell how campus ministry
has enabled them to grow spiritually, build faithful relationships
and affect the world around them.
Three winners of the “Campus Ministry Touched Me”
writing contest will receive prizes of $250 each, and their ministries
will get the same amount.
Winning entries will be used in a special campaign promoting
PC(USA) higher-education ministries.
Qualifying ministries include those supported only by the PC(USA);
ecumenical ministries co-sponsored by the PC(USA); chaplaincies
at denomination-related private or public colleges and universities;
and ministries with college students supported by PC(USA) congregations.
The contest deadline is Feb. 20. Email entries to pcc@pcusa.org.
Each entry must include the student writer’s full name,
email and mailing addresses, the name and address of the PCUSA-related
collegiate ministry, and the name and email address of the student’s
campus minister, chaplain or collegiate ministry director/pastor.
