| Kathy Leech,
the wife of Presbyterian Church (USA) Foundation CEO Robert Leech,
will be released from a Philadelphia-area hospital today after
undergoing a successful liver transplant earlier this week.
Bob Leech said Kathy “continues to improve, her liver
and kidney functions are good and she’s in good spirits.”
Kathy Leech will convalesce at the home of her sister, who lives
near the hospital where the transplant surgery was performed.
She will have to visit the hospital for check-ups two to three
times a week for at least three months.

The Rev. Dent Davis has been named Dean and Vice President
Of Lifelong Learning at Columbia Theological Seminary. In this
new position, he will lead the integration of Columbia’s
lifelong learning programs, which include Continuing Education,
the Spirituality Program, the Center for New Church Development,
and the Lay Institute of Faith and Life.
Davis has served as Columbia’s Director of Continuing Education
since 2002. An ordained minister in the PC(USA), he served more
than 25 years in churches in Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina.
He as also served as director of the Institute for Work and Learning
and was the founding executive director of the Association of
Community Partnerships, both organizations based in Knoxville,
Tennessee.
Davis is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. He received
the M.Div. from Vanderbilt University Divinity School, the D.Min.from
Columbia Theological Seminary, and his doctorate in Education
from the University of Tennessee. |
