MONTREAT, NC — Dan
Struble, the vice president for principal gifts of the United
States Naval Academy Foundation in Annapolis, MD, has been named
the seventh president of Montreat
College. He replaces John Lindberg, who resigned last
June.

GLENSIDE, PA — Jerry M. Greiner, the provost of
Hamline University in Saint Paul, MN, has been named president
of Arcadia University
(formerly Beaver College), effective July 1. Greiner, 54, who
has a Ph.D. in psychology, replaces Bette E. Landman, who is retiring
after 18 years as president.

ALMA, MI — Attorney and environmental activist Robert
F. Kennedy Jr. will deliver the annual Honors Day Address at Alma
College on March 31. Kennedy, who represents the Natural
Resources Defense Council and is president of the Waterkeeper
Alliance, also has helped indigenous tribes in Latin America and
Canada protect their homelands. He will receive an honorary degree
on April 1.

CALDWELL, ID — Jim Angresano, a professor of politics
and economics at Albertson
College of Idaho, has received a second Fulbright Senior
Specialist grant to lecture on economic development and international
economics at Cairo University in Egypt for four weeks this winter.
The goal of the program is to advance understanding between people
of the United States and other countries.

SITKA, AK — Dale Soden, a professor at Whitworth
College in Spokane, WA, recently presented a lecture at
Sheldon Jackson College
in Sitka titled: “The role of the Presbyterian College in
the 21st Century.” The Jan. 29 speech represented the early
steps of an effort by the two schools to form a closer working
relationship as the only Presbyterian-related colleges in the
Pacific Northwest. |
