Missionaries in ‘Mission Challenge ’07’ commissioned
Mission workers will visit 144 presbyteries during October

General Assembly Stated Clerk Clifton Kirkpatrick commissions 48 Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) missionaries on Oct. 3 who will be itinerating throughout the church during the month of October as part of “Mission Challenge ’07.” More than 140 PC(USA) presbyteries have offered to host missionaries for a week, during which time the mission workers will tell their stories and solicit spiritual and financial support for the PC(USA)’s World Mission enterprise. The commissioning service was part of “World Mission ’07: A Celebration of Grace,” a global mission conference Oct. 2-5 that has drawn more than 600 mission-minded Presbyterians to Louisville for four days of worship, Bible study, plenary and panel presentations on various aspects of Presbyterian World Mission, and a host of practical workshops for congregations, presbyteries and mission networks.
