Nominations sought for Women of Faith Awards
Jan. 20 deadline nears
LOUISVILLE — Nominations are being sought for the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) 2008 Women of Faith Awards.
The awards were established in 1986 to honor women in the PC(USA) who have transformed the church and society through their witness, service and leadership.
Deadline for nominations is Jan. 20. This year’s theme is “Visionary Women Transforming the Church and Society.”
The awards will be presented at the Women of Faith Breakfast on June 22 during the PC(USA)’s 218th General Assembly in San Jose, CA. Award recipients will be notified one month prior to the Assembly.
Nominations are received from throughout the church and honorees are selected by a committee of representatives from groups officially related to the Women’s Ministries program area. General Assembly staff are not eligible for nomination.
