For the PC(USA), she served on the Board of Visitors for Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC; the public education work group of the National Council of Churches; and was moderator of the Year With Education team for that 1998 mission initiative of the PC(USA).

She is survived by two children: Charis Hanberry of Suwanee, GA, and Bryan Andrews of Logan, AL, and four grandsons.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, at Oakhurst Presbyterian Church in Atlanta.
