Register early for the tax tips webinar for ministers and churches

PHILADELPHIA, Penn. — The Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is encouraging early registration for its free Tax Tips Webinar for Ministers and Churches, scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on December 9. Registration ends November 20, and space is limited.

Ministers and churches that want to learn about clergy taxes should join the Board for this annual online event. This year’s Webinar will feature renowned clergy and church tax expert Richard R. Hammar, J.D., LL.M., CPA, who will discuss:

• recent tax law changes that will affect ministers and churches
• the expenses that are and are not deductible
• a ten-step, year-end checklist
• how lending money to a minister could put a church’s tax-exempt status at risk
