What’s the state of our denomination? While financial giving continues to grow, membership is still declining. Comparative Statistics, published annually by the office of Research Services, provides an annual well-church assessment of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and examines denominational trends. The latest report is now available.
Measures of membership, ministers, congregations and finances give us a snapshot of some dimensions of our health as an institution. Like most annual physicals, Comparative Statistics 2007 surfaces good news, issues of concern and data that may be just plain interesting to ponder.
