Worldwide: involvement of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in countries around the world
The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) works with partner churches and organizations in
more than 100 countries and has appointed mission personnel
to serve in nearly 70 countries. World Mission's area offices are responsible
for building and maintaining relationships with Presbyterian,
Reformed and other churches around the world.
The Worldwide country index provides information for countries where the PC(USA) is heavily involved. Other countries listed in the index will have Web pages prepared as information becomes available. The PC(USA) also participates in or relates to work in other countries through ecumenical relationships.
“Renewed Call to Presbyterian Mission in the World! A Dialogue for Our Shared Future” brought together leaders from the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and Presbyterian groups engaged in mission around the world. Participants signed “An Invitation to Expanding Partnership in God’s Mission” at the conclusion of the consultation held Jan. 16-18 in Dallas.
The document includes a covenant to live and serve together and a commitment to work cooperatively. The participants also pledged to celebrate diverse Presbyterian approaches to mission, to share responsibility for education and preparation of all Presbyterians for mission, and to seek and support more mission personnel.
Support continues for this renewed call to mission as individuals and organizations from across the church affirm the invitation. Find out who has already signed on, and join the growing list of individuals and networks that endorse the Invitation.
