Presbyterian Disaster Assistance enables congregations and mission partners of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A) to witness to the healing love of Christ through caring for communities adversely affected by crisis and catastrophic events.

'Kepulihan: Stories from the Tsunami'

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance was honored to have "Kepulihan: Stories from the Tsunami" selected by the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site to be a part of its D.R.E.A.M. Film Series screenings. The D.R.E.A.M. screening was held June 13, 2009, at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, in conjunction with the PC(USA) Big Tent event. Presbyterian Community Outreach of Slidell is an organization based out of Slidell, LA currently working to rebuild the New Orleans area. They accept and house volunteer groups free of charge to do home repair and other types of assistance to low income families and elderly persons in the Slidell area hit by recent storms.
