In 2006, PDA printed children's letters as part of its annual report. We hope the letters can be used in children's sermons, as a way of reaching children and adults alike with good news about Presbyterians' faithfulness in serving God by serving families in their times of greatest need.
Several of the letters mention a fish bank — the famous bank into which Presbyterian children put their One Great Hour of Sharing offerings during Lent. Their generous contributions help with disaster recovery work through PDA all year long.
You may wish to use these letters during the 2008 Lenten season to help the children understand how their gifts are used.
Copies of the PDA 2006 Annual Report can be ordered. The report contains the letters, additional information about the responses, lists of mission workers and partners and financial information.
