After listening to the needs of Liberian staff, the following topics were agreed upon as training opportunities.

• Helping Those Who Grieve
• Caring for Traumatized Children
• Caring for Traumatized Elders

Each workshop will focus half of the time on caring for staff and helping them recover from their own traumas related to the war. The other half of the time is for learning.

To quote from the invitation to the member churches,

“All workshops will help participants with stress, compassion fatigue and the sense of exhaustion that is so common among those caring for people during the years of fighting and upheaval. Each day there will be learning times, relaxation times, laughter and good food.”
