The boatyard in Nias is doing its best to fulfill the needs of the fishermen needing new boats. Many fishermen want a traditional boat carved of one tree, capable of taking one fisherman and 200 kg of fish.
Those who have lost their homes to the tsunami are now living in temporary shelters. In many of these shelters, there is lack of privacy. People want to go home as soon as possible.
