This was our fourth mission to Pearlington, Mississippi.

Our group included Pastor Jon, several retired educators, two massage therapists, a contractor and a college professor. We were blessed to bring the home of Lois and Don Lee to near completion. We had drywalled in their home during our third mission trip and little had been done in the following six months.

In the week we were there, our group of 10 was able to finish mudding and sanding the walls; spackle, prime and paint the interior; lay wood flooring in three rooms; install the trim package; hang fixtures and install the electrical plugs, switches and plates as well as install the interior doors. 

The joy in their smiles was all the thanks one would ever need. The picture of our group with Lois and Don was taken at the camp site.

Mission #5 is set for October 12.

Note: The United Church of Big Rapids has committed to two missions a year for as long as they are needed in Pearlington, Mississippi.
