Presbyterian Disaster Assistance receives volunteer help from Presbyterian Investment and Loan Program employees

September 2005

In the weeks following Hurricane Katrina, which struck the Gulf Coast August 29, 2005, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance was overwhelmed with the outpouring of support by Presbyterians across the nation wishing to help with the initial disaster response. Presbyterian Investment and Loan Program employees took turns coming to the PDA offices to help with answering the many questions and phone calls from caring churches and individuals.   Photo of four volunteers

PDA wants to say thank you to PILP staff who came to offer invaluable help during those early recovery days: Betsy Blocker, Ashley Winn, Angie Schonard, Darla West, Suzi Gwinn, Eric Moore and Jim Rissler. We appreciate your help with supporting the congregations and individuals wishing to offer assistance with the immediate hurricane response. Thank you!
