What are Mission Trips?
They are...windows through which to see the world and God's vision for it in new ways;....mirrors in which to see ourselves, our church, our culture more clearly;....doorways through which we enter into deeper fellowship with God and our neighbor;…voices through which we may hear God's call to us.
What are Mission Team Members?
Bridges between those they visit and their congregation, between God's activity in one part of the world and God's activity in their own community.
If our support base at the home church is strong on prayer, giving and fellowship, there will always be people there who feel compelled to participate in Christian mission in some form. They begin to recognize that God has blessed their lives with gifts, and that steps of faith are required of them. They recognize that our lives are relatively brief when it comes to doing missions in the name of Jesus Christ. They pray about it and, if God so directs their hearts, they make known their willingness to serve.
