Lent Liturgies
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance extends a special thank-you to Presbyterian World Service and Development (Presbyterian Church in Canada) who has given us permission to use their Lenten worship resources. The 2009 Lent liturgies were written by the Reverend Dr. Philip Wilson, lead pastor from Trinity Presbyterian Church in Hamilton, Ontario. The liturgies, one for each Sunday during Lent, are inspired by the call to journey with Christ through the desert, over unseen obstacles, to reach a destination that is both a defeat (the cross) and a victory (resurrection). The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has a web site with information on various Bible studies, devotionals, ideas, and other resources appropriate for this season and Easter. Learn more.
