The Mission, Service and Grants Committee of the First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury, New Jersey, asked the youth group of our church to decide where our congregation’s portion of the Pentecost Offering will go this year. This is the first time our youth have been given this responsibility, and we know they take it seriously. They will examine the various community service organizations in our area that meet the needs of children at risk and come up with a recommendation to our committee. The youth will also participate in making the donation to the group or special effort they select. Because this offering is meant to help children in special circumstances and with special needs, it seemed only right that young people should be actively involved in the process. It would be wonderful to make this part of our annual Pentecost Offering plan.
