Partnership brings tools for understanding addictions
The Clergy Education and Training Project, a partnership of the National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACoA), the American Association of Pastoral Counselors (AAPC) and Faith Partners of the Rush Center is providing training around the country to help faith communities understand their role in understanding and addressing alcohol and other addictions. This project is funded by the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s Center for Substance Abuse Treatment.
Louisville, through PHEWA and Presbyterians for Addiction Action (PAA), was asked to host one of these conferences. We invited a number of sponsors: the Archdiocese of Louisville, the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, treatment providers and state and local agencies. If you live in the Louisville/Southern Indiana area, you are invited to attend.
