Covenant Communities
The three units in the fall quarter focus on God’s covenant as made manifested in communities. The lessons consider the persons God chose to be covenant leaders, the invitations God offered to enter into community, the people’s responses to the invitations and the nature of God’s new covenant community.

Unit I, “Leaders in the Covenant Community,” looks at four people called to lead the Israelites in living in covenant with God: Joshua, Gideon, Ezra and Nehemiah.
Unit II, “An Open Invitation to Covenant Living,” explores stories from Mark in which Jesus interacted with people and invited them to live in covenant with God.
Unit III, “The New Covenant Community,”examines 1 and 2 Peter to discern the qualities of people who are part of God’s covenant community.
