| The Present Word curriculum
emphasizes the Bible as Gods revelation and the major
source of understanding the Christian faith. It underscores
the Biblical witness as the most effective means of teaching
the gospel. The Present Word lessons give attention to
issues such as personal faith, ethics, human relationships,
community responsibility, resurrection hope and the implications
of Christian discipleship under the Lordship of Christ and in
the fellowship of his Spirit.
Because teachers are important in the learning process, The
Present Word has step-by-step guidance for the teachers.
In the quarterly Leaders Guide, each weeks session
is carefully outlined with a full description of the materials
needed, plus reproducible pages and resources to help the leader.
The quarterly Students Book includes a Scripture reading
for the lesson, study materials with reflection questions throughout
and a prayer after each lesson.
The quarterly Worship Leaflets contain material for a short
worship service that can be used as an opening session during
class or in other settings. They also provide Scripture and
questions for meditation. View a sample of the worship leaflets.
