What should be included in a circle meeting?

Keep the climate of the meeting relaxed, informal and comfortable so that every member feels free to become involved in study, discussion or planning. Include in varying degrees Bible study, mission interpretation, concern for issues that face church and society, action and prayer.

What events should the circle keep in mind?

Use one calendar to keep track of PW in the Congregation, Presbytery, Synod and church wide events, as well as ecumenical events like World Day of Prayer, World Food Day and other events in which your circle will want to participate. Consider encouraging leaders and/or all members to purchase the Presbyterian Planning Calendar.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (January)
Celebrate the Gifts of Women Sunday (March)
World Day of Prayer (March)—a Church Women United (CWU) celebration Publication of Horizons Bible study (March 15)
Publicize the spring PWP gatherings

April, May, June

Attend the Spring PWP gatherings
May Fellowship Day (CWU)
Receive the Fellowship of the Least Coin offering and forward it to the PWC treasurer or take to the CWU celebration
Plan to participate in PW training events and synod schools in your area
Receive the Birthday Offering

July, August, September

Attend PW leadership events
Publicize fall PWP gatherings

October, November, December

Attend fall PWP gathering
Receive the Thank Offering
Attend World Community Day (November)
