With foresight and vision toward
strengthening the future ministry of
Presbyterian Women and the Women's
Ministries Area PC(USA), the Widening
the Circle Fund was designed for the purpose
of ensuring and enhancing financial resources
for emerging programs that are vital to the
community of faith.
Critical and innovative ministries that are
above and beyond the current funding pattern
of the church will be made available to wider
circles of women.
Revenue generated from the fund will enable
the community of women in the PC(USA)
to serve and witness to the promise of God
for a just world at peace.
The Widening the Circle Fund will be used
primarily in the following areas:
- Innovative programs to equip and enable an
increasing number of younger women — at
home, college and workplace — to be in
leadership roles in the church at every level.
- Networking
programs to build a community of sisterhood locally and globally:
addressing
common concerns and advocating for issues
that are unique to women.
- Establishing
means for the collection of theological insights from a diverse
and
inclusive community of women.
