Happy 20th anniversary, PW!

2008 marks the 20th anniversary of the creation of Presbyterian Women. PW was formed with the merger of United Presbyterian Women (UPCUSA) and Women of the Church (PCUS), following the reunion of the church.

Get ideas for celebrating the anniversary with your PW group.

On Sunday, May 18, join other U.S. Christians in “sacred conversations” about race and racism, encouraged by The United Church of Christ (UCC). Worship resources and suggestions are available from the Peacemaking Program and from Racial Justice and Advocacy.

Join PW

Presbyterian Women offers women in the church meaningful ways to live out their faith in the midst of a caring community of women. Any group of women who enjoys mission, Bible study or advocacy could become a PW group. Find out how to start or revitalize a group in your church.

2008 Birthday Offering

Lives will improve in New Orleans and Congo in 2008 — thanks to you! PW groups will begin collecting money for the two Birthday Offering grant recipients in the spring. The grants will allow for the rebuilding and expansion of a school in New Orleans, and will provide building materials, textbooks and teacher training for schools in Congo.
