Women from every synod will attend the 2006 Churchwide Gathering of Presbyterian Women, July 7–11, 2006. In addition to attendees from synods in the United States, women will come from around the world. These Global Partners will be guests of the Churchwide Gathering Committee, the Global Exchange program, local churches, presbyteries, synods or church groups. Some of these women are making plans to meet friends from the United States at the Gathering, others are hoping to make new friends at the Gathering.

A Global Partners Directory will be available at the Gathering so attendees may learn more about PW's international guests. The directory will contain short biographies of the women, highlighting their countries of origin, church activities and ministries.

While at the Gathering, Global Partners will

• meet Gathering attendees at the Casa Internacional in Celebration Corners/Great Room
• participate in plenary activities
• interact with children and youth in programs designed for these ages
• discuss women's issues with members of the National Network or Presbyterian College Women, as that group meets concurrently with PW at the Gathering
• participate in workshops, sharing their stories.

When PW travels to Brazil in October 2005 for the Global Exchange, several Brazilian women will be invited to the Gathering. At the Gathering, these women will discuss issues raised during the Global Exchange. Come to the workshops, plenary sessions and Celebration Corners/Great Room activities that involve the Global Partners, or meet them at meals, in the hallways, in workshops, wherever PW gather!

• Teach a few new words in English.
• Learn a few words in another language.
• Learn a game or song from another culture.
• Share a smile, a hug or a prayer.
