The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has (1) many congregations with only a few members (over 40% of
the PCUSA's congregations have 100 or fewer members, yet collectively they have only 8.9% of the
total denominational membership), and (2) a few congregations with many members (congregations with
more than 1,200 members are 2.1% of the total number of congregations, but have 17.2% of all PCUSA
