Expenditures, Receipts, Contributions, and Contributions in 1999 Dollars, 1990-1999
In the last ten years, there has been a steady increase in per member giving (contributions from members), per member receipts (contributions plus other income from other sources such as investments and bequests), and per member expenditures. Receipts exceed expenditures by about $25 per member annually. Even when contributions per member is calculated in 1999 dollars (controlling for inflation), a slow, steady increase is seen, averaging 2.3% per year.
