Number of Female Clergy, 1990-1999

The number of female clergy has increased significantly in recent years, from 2,257 in 1990 to 3,693 in 1999. The number of female clergy serving as head of staff, solo pastor, or co-pastor has increased as well, though not so dramatically (from 570 in 1990 to 965 in 1999).
