Contributions Per Member in Congregations of Various Sizes
1989-2000

Per member contributions have increased steadily over the years. In 1989, per member giving was $481 and contributions totaled $1,348,906,528. Last year per member giving was $824. In every year shown, per member giving in small and mid-size congregations is similar. However, per member giving in the largest congregations (more than 500 members) is greater than in smaller congregations. This difference has increased slightly in the last five to six years.
